Located a scenic 7.5 hour drive from Sydney or 3.5 hour drive from Brisbane, Yamba is famous for beautiful beaches and clear ocean pools, world class surf breaks and an enviable array of restaurants, cafés and bars.

The surrounding countryside encompasses swathes of native forest and plenty of outdoor adventure activities. Explore the Yamba Lighthouse or hike the Yuraygir coastal walk in the Yuraygir National Park.

Woody Head Campground is located on the northern side of the Clarence River and is the perfect base to explore the region.

Located 2.5 hours north of Yamba is renowned Byron Bay and it’s lesser known but equally stunning neighbour of Suffolk Beach.

Renowned for its relaxed beach lifestyle and forested hinterland, the region is home to stylish coastal towns and creative rural communities that draw inartists, musicians and makers.

Visit the most easterly point of the Australian mainland at the Cape Byron Lighthouse, swim with dolphins on the beach break at Suffolk, or explore the underwater world in the Cape Byron Marine Park. Hike in the rainforests and visit stunning Minyon Falls.

In Byron and surrounds, you will find food and drink companies creating innovative products, fresh produce on the local café menus, late night tapas bars and nightclubs. A visit to this stunning coastal town certainly won’t leave you wondering why it is so famous.
