Reservation Management Systems (RMS)

The introductory course to RMS (Reservation Management System) is a class room based course (9.00am – 4.30pm) held over 2 days.
The activities and tasks carried out over these days relates to 2 Units of Competency. The two units are:
• SITTTSL007 – Process reservations
• SITTTSL010 – Use a computerised reservation or operations system

Topics covered over the 2 days are:
• Booking chart navigation
• Guest account receipting and accounting
• Reservation search functionality
• Source of business reporting
• Making and saving reservations
• Guest arrivals and departures
• Housekeeping monitoring
• End of day balancing

A general overview will be given on RMS and its use within holiday parks and resorts. As well as this overview on RMS, general information relevant to the park industry will be discussed. As this is an introductory course, it is not nationally accredited. However on completion, you will gain accreditation for two units of competency which can be used for credit transfer if undertaking further studies.
